LIFE: On our to-do list this week

Even though Rich Medina stopped doing those Jump 'N Funk parties, he's still keeping the Fela Kuti craze going. Wednesday night, he spins at a Fela-themed Summerstage concert featuring a screening of the documentary "Music Is A Weapon" and a performance by the Nigerian activist musician's son Femi. While Femi's music is good and all, Seun, one of Fela's many, many, many other kids, seems to be the family member who is taking afro funk in a fresh direction. He performed at S.O.B.'s on July 1st but should be coming back to the States soon. Listen to his much slept on music here.
