WARDROBE: Flats v. Manolos

It seems like light years ago when "Sex in the City" had every New York girl teetering about in Manolo Blahniks during the day and night. Now, literally everyone wears flats (during the day at least.) Practically every girl I saw on the street yesterday had on a knockoff version of those Tory Burch ballerinas with the coin on the top. I'd rather walk around in these jelly Marc Jacobs flats instead.
p.s. Not that I no longer appreciate a good pair of Manolo's. The fabled Manolo Blahnik sample sale happens May 9 at the Warwick Hotel, 54th Street and 6th Avenue (in New York). The public can get in at noon.
