WARDROBE: And we're off

Fashion Week officially kicked off today so expect to see random musings about it here. First up, after having had a sneak peek at a few collections during the past two weeks and watched BCBG's show today, we're wondering if slinky 40s-influenced dresses will be a dominant trend for fall. Maybe a continuation of the grown-up dressing motif. We're not entirely mad at it. We're also guessing that many designers will be all about the waistline again this season (like this Elise Overland look pictured above). But hey, we're just going on a hunch and the few collections we've seen so far.

Secondly, the number of photogs snapping the pretty ladies walking in and out of the shows seems to have multiplied exponentially. Wear a cute outfit, and you might just get to feel like Angelina Jolie for a few minutes. Joy Bryant was clearly photographed because she's famous, but if she weren't we're guessing someone would have snapped her for this cute ensemble anyway.
